Vertigo Inducing Teaser For FALL

Not one for those of you who get giddy on top of a ladder in the yard, Lionsgate brings us Fall. The premise is simple, yet potentially brilliant, and akin to Frozen (the other one!) and The Shallows in the genre of survival thrillers. According to the blurb:

“For best friends Becky (Grace Caroline Currey) and Hunter (Virginia Gardner), life is all about conquering fears and pushing limits. But after they climb 2,000 feet to the top of a remote, abandoned radio tower, they find themselves stranded with no way down. Now Becky and Hunter’s expert climbing skills will be put to the ultimate test as they desperately fight to survive the elements, a lack of supplies, and vertigo-inducing heights.”

The best examples of this genre place you into a “What would I do in this situation?” headspace. Easy for me. I wouldn’t be up there in the first place.

Fall

Jeffrey Dean Morgan co-stars in the film which Scott Mann directs. The movie is set for an August 12th release in theatres. This puts in a quiet period, with Idris Elba’s Beast and Emily The Criminal opening around it, along with a limited release for Jamie Foxx’s Netflix vampire thriller Day Shift.

Lionsgate themselves continue to power on, while under the radar of the big five studios, with a new facility opening in Yonkers, New York shortly and another in Newark. John Wick, the latest Rambo entries, The Expendables, The Hunger Games franchise and sparkly vampire tedium of Twilight make sure the bills get paid.

Writers for Fall include Mann and Jonathan Frank and it is produced by Christian Mercuri, James Harris, Mark Lane, and the director, Mann.
