MTV Entertainment Studios has released the trailer for the freshly titled “Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe,” the sequel to 1996’s “Beavis and Butt-Head Do America” movie which was based on the iconic MTV cartoon.
The new film is one of multiple “Beavis and Butt-Head” projects that Paramount+ has in the works since the franchise was revived in mid-2020.
The film sees the lovable losers finding themselves headed to space in 1998 and subsequently from there to the future of 2022 where they discover the world around them has severely changed.
They quickly find themselves of interest to the NSA, the governor of Texas, and a highly intelligent version of themselves from a parallel universe.
Creator Mike Judge writes, directs and stars in the film which will release exclusively on the streamer on June 23rd.
