Silverman Joins Bradley Cooper’s “Maestro”

Sarah Silverman is in talks to join the Bradley Cooper-directed Leonard Bernstein currently in production biopic “Maestro” at Netflix.

Should she sign on, the comedian and actress would play Shirley Anne Bernstein – sister of famed “West Side Story” and “On the Waterfront” composer and activist Leonard Bernstein (Cooper).

The series tells the complex love story of Leonard and his wife Felicia, a story that spans over 30 years. The series also stars Carey Mulligan as Felicia along with Matt Bomer and Maya Hawke.

Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Kristie Macosko Krieger, Fred Berner and Amy Durning produce along with Cooper who co-wrote the script with “Spotlight” scribe Josh Singer.
