Filmmaker Lindsey Beer is teaming with Paramount Pictures and Broken Road Productions on a film reboot of the classic supernatural tale “Sleepy Hollow”.
Beer will write, direct and produce alongside Todd Garner and Spencer Walken. The classic story deals with a headless horseman who terrorizes a small town and its newest resident, Ichabod Crane.
The property has been adapted several times for the screen including the 1949 Disney animated movie, FOX’s several season-long TV series in the 2010s, and Paramount’s own well-regarded 1999 film from director Tim Burton.
Beer recently made her directorial debut with the upcoming “Pet Sematary” prequel at Paramount which is slated to debut later this year and has writing credits on numerous projects on the way including Bad Robot’s “Star Trek 4,” the “Bambi” remake, the “Hello Kitty” film and “The Magic Order” series.
